Alistair Narave and Comrades

Post by Fink Dixel on Mon Oct 24, 2016 2:28 am

John's bio is a bit difficult for me, so I will update as story progresses and he reveals more about himself. I will also fix spelling and grammar mistakes when I can.

UPDATE: For sake of ease, I am creating a new bio for "Alistair Narave"

Name: John Mohawke

Also Known As: Alistair Narave, Fink Dixel, Warden

Profession: Ranger

Age: Known by few to be over 200 years old, though he looks to be between 25-30,
He does not visibly age, but not immortal.
Height: 6 feet 4 inches

Status: The corrupted personality that is "John Mohawke" is deceased.

Weight: 200 lbs

Personality: (Strengths/Weaknesses/Idiosyncrasies)
While known to be unpredictable, he is good and kind towards allies (Often seen as a bit whimsical), although mercilessly cruel towards his enemies. For reasons not yet explained by John, he will defend the Lady Arelia, Valynn Lionhart, and Gigas Lionhart along with a few others with his life.

Brief Physical Description: John has gray eyes, long brown hair a well maintained beard. His skin is tanned and a slightly burnt from over exposure to the sun. He has a small faded Eagle emblem branded into his inner forearm towards his wrist, above it appears to be faded words cut into his arm reading in Old Krytan "Never forget" he has told no one currently alive what it means. He is solidly built to be agile, and capable of dealing devastating blows. He resembles a Pirate dressed in blue, and favors carrying a Icy Dragon Sword and a vicious gold colored dagger, with a shape similar to that of a crescent moon.

Brief Background Story: What is know by very few is that John wandered Tyria for around 200 years in the form of an undead revenant. The Lady Arelia holds the belief that while John didn't fall under the control of Zhaitan, he was still partially corrupted. Although he returned to the living, Arelia believes he didn't completely recover from the corruption. Evidence that supports this is that he single handedly almost exterminated an entire Centaur tribe, sparing only the young, which eventually were taken into the Harathi and Tamini tribes. While highly secretive he does occasionally talk about the loss of his wife and only child, which still brings sorrow to his heart. John presently works with Lady Arelia as her mentor, while also helping her run an inn within Queensdale.
John also controls a hidden prison, where he holds his enemies. Nothing more is known about the Prison.

After the destruction of Moons old base, John reveals himself to Valynn and Gigas, explaining his connection to the Original 'Serenity of the Night' and supports his case by presenting the two with old artifacts belonging to an Officer of the guild dating back over 250 years ago. As a result, he earned his place as a highly respected person of Moon. He presently funds many of Moons operations through his business with Lady Arelia.

His favorite hobby is his work as a master chef.

* Cause of death: In his search for a cure for Arelia Tanaka, he had to sacrifice his life and travel to the underworld for the last ingredient for the cure. His body returned as the undead revenant, which was fought off by Sydney the Warrior and Kiri Maata. The Spirit of his fallen wife, Zaryssa, known by few as "The Archangel" in an act of love used what magic she had left to resurrect, and cure him of the curse of the Revenant, freeing him of his blood oath, and the partial corruption of Zhaitan

Name: Lady Arelia

Also Known As: Arelia, The Lady, Ma

Profession: Thief

Age: 27

Height: 5"3

Weight: 115 lbs

Personality: (Strengths/Weaknesses/Idiosyncrasies)
A very caring and fairly sarcastic individual. She is very Stoic, so if she is showing any sign of emotional distress, something big is bothering her. Her calm demeanor has been known to soothe a raging Norn. She has a soft spot for children, and anything she perceives as cute.

Brief Physical Description:
She has emerald green eyes, long red hair, fair light skin and perceived by many as a beautiful woman. She wears leather armor that covers her neck to toe, primarily to hide the series of scars and other wounds she has endured. Her back is covered with long thick scars, as well as scars showing possible wounds from arrows. Her abdomen shows signs of healed second degree burns. She does not willingly show any other scars she may have claiming, "They are a thing of the past, and thus not important".

Brief Background Story: Lady Arelia is from a Noble family from Divinity's Reach that believed in helping the less fortunate, which she took to heart. Over the years she took up thieving from the Greedy and giving to the poor, which made her popular amongst the commoners and homeless. Her thieving ability was superb, however, her ability to fight was poor. Four years ago, this punished her when she was captured by bandits and tortured. A group of people arrived to attempt to rescue her, however they were all outmatched by the bandits. Arelia prayed to the Six, as she assumed she would die. Immediately afterwards, what looked like a long dead man, entered the area igniting groups of bandits into mounds of ash. The Undead took an interest to one of the fallen rescuers, reaching down and getting his rotting hands covered in the fallens blood. The Undead screamed, as a white light emerged from the blood, consuming his body in the light. The remaining bandits surrounded the glowing being, and as the light faded it revealed a healthy man appearing to be just a few years older than Arelia. The man immediately disarmed the nearest bandit, wielding a sword, and a dagger. In just a few moments, Arelia witnessed the man kill the remaining bandits. Dropping the blades, he approached Arelia. To weak to scream or even move, Arelia closed her eyes. "Sleep child, you will be okay." She awoke several days later covered in bandages, in an unfamiliar Forrest under a makeshift shelter, when she officially met her savior. He introduced himself as "Alistair Narave". Due what she witnessed, Alistair told her his story.

Arelia is presently the only person who knows his whole life story, and has not told anyone else, and neither of them know why Alistair was drawn to the dead unnamed man and resurrected.

For the next four years, Arelia gave Alistair a place to call home, at the cost of Alistair teaching her how to fight. Arelia also became a scholar of the Durmand Priory, in hopes of finding a way to help figure out why Alistair returned to life. On the side, she continued to steal from the greedy to help the poor, until she angered the wrong Noble, who hired an Assassin to kill Lady Arelia. Arelia had the upper hand and slew the assassin, but was still stabbed by a dagger coated in a rare unidentified poison. Alistair hired Serenity Moon to protect Arelia until the Noble was captured. When the man was imprisoned by Alistair, Arelia has been taking a special herb that neutralizes the poison. Arelia still suffers an excruciating pain, caused by the poison, she will survive. However, she does a superb job at hiding the pain, and to further hide it, and also out of gratitude, Arelia asked to join Moon. Despite her condition, she still impressed the leaders with her capabilities. She is not presently active with the Guild, however she is well associated with the guild.

She presently works as a bartender in the Hunting Lodge in Queensdale, using a portion of profits to support the Guild, and another portion goes to running a nutritional free soup kitchen, for the poor and homeless. While tending the bar, Arelia has a love for listening to problems of the people, and gives advice towards the situations at hand, often coming off sounding like a mother, which earned her nickname "Ma" by the regulars of the lodge.

Arelia learns during Alistair's travels to find a proper way of identifying and removing the poison that crippled her, that for some reason unexplained, Alistair changed his name to,"John Mohawke". No magic as of yet has been successful of removing the poison.

Re: Alistair Narave and Comrades

Post by Fink Dixel on Mon Oct 24, 2016 2:32 am

Name: Krisella Narave

Also Known As: Bones

Profession: Necromancer, Housekeeper

Age: 20

Height: 5'5

Weight: 115lbs

Personality: (Strengths/Weaknesses/Idiosyncrasies) Krisella is a bit of a gossip girl, but will keep things to herself if asked. She is genuinely curious about anything, big or small. Krisella is also highly intelligent and perceptive, but is sometimes confused as otherwise due to her being a bit comical in a lot of things she does, and her general sense of humor. She has an intense dislike for mesmers, which few understand. Krisella is also intensively clumsy, stumbling and tripping at what seems like every turn.

Brief Physical Description: Krisella has grey eyes, long chocolate hair often tied back in a ponytail, and skin appearing similar to porcelain in tone. With the way she dresses, many confuse her as a noble, despite her past as a street rat.

Brief Background Story: Krisella is a bit of an open book, and had a rough time. She was born into a pirating family, which consisted of solely Rangers and Warriors. Being the runt of the family, she couldn't keep up with the physical aspect of the family training. Distraught, Krisella read what she could on magic, and she figured out a few tricks of Necromancy, and her first successful attempt was animating a dead rat. Once her father found out, he cast her out of the family as a blacksheep at the age of eleven where she would then wander Lion's Arch and eventually divinity's reach, where she occupied her time in an Orphanage in Salma District for some time. By the age of fourteen, Krisella ran away from the Orphanage, and began to dabble in her magic again, to defend herself from city crime. Struggling to find food, at the age of seventeen she joined the vigil, in hopes of getting rations. Things turned sour within the Vigil, and few know the story of what happened for the next couple of years, save for a few. All is known, is she was charged with several counts of murder, and was later cleared of all charges and found innocent after she spent a year in Solitary confinement in John's prison. At the age of 19, Krisella was guided to the Hunters Lodge by the Norn Sydney the Warrior, where she quickly became friends with Arelia Tanaka, and was taken under her wing. And since became an ally of John (Though he tends to be reluctant), and a clumsy, but highly capable member of Serenity Moon.

Name: Sydney

Also Known As: Sydney the Warrior, "Frenzy" and formerly known as: Freyja Anadottir

Profession: Warrior

Age: 40

Height: 9 feet

Weight: 250

Personality: (Strengths/Weaknesses/Idiosyncrasies) Sydney is a very brave Norn, she loves combat and will continue to fight until her wounds are too great to push on. She is proud and wears all of her scars from battle as medals, and will gladly show them off. Even scars in more private places. Sydney is not social to anyone, unless she accepts them as a decent combatant. Those who she considers friends, can feel safe with Sydney, for she will protect her friends until her dying breath.

Brief Physical Description: Tall, long blonde hair, always in a bun. She has an eagle tattoo on her back, and markings on her face, in addition to various scars scattered all over her body. Most immediate scars would be on her face. She is described to be an angry looking woman, but appears to be extremely proud, despite what she has been through.

Brief Background Story: Sydney tells very few her tale: Formerly living in the Northern Shiverpeaks, Sydney lived as Freyja Anadottir with her husband and three children. During this time, she was very big on how she raised her norn children, and lived in constant competition with her husband as to who was stronger. At the age of 25, she met a man named Alistair Narave, and a woman named Lady Arelia Tanaka. They came to seek shelter for the night, which the family happily agreed to. During this time, Icebrood attacked their homeland, killing many other people in their path. Sydney, her husband and the two visitors fought bravely, but they ultimately failed in protecting everyone. Her husband, and all of her children were affected by the corruption of Jormag, and Sydney was forced to kill them all. Heavy hearted, and broken Sydney gave up on life, until Alistair came up with an offer, she could not refuse; however abandoning her old name. After working with Alistair, the two became close friends, and Alistair gave her the name "Sydney", named after the bravest warrior he personally had met. Along the way, she befriended few, and angered many, she holds Alistair/John Mohawke, as her closest friend, and Krisella Narave as a close second. Presently, Sydney's goal is to get revenge on Jormag for corrupting her family, but holds any life she cares to protect far over her own thirst for vengeance.

Re: Alistair Narave and Comrades

Post by Fink Dixel on Mon Oct 24, 2016 2:33 am

Pardon this one. I wrote it on my android. So I'll fix shit later. He is a conversion of my favorite D&D character, that I badly wanted to bring to Tyria. So converting and writing new back story was a pain.

Name: Byrt Humphrey

Also Known As: Holy Man, The Warpriest,

Profession: Guardian

Age: 23

Height: 6'3

Weight: 230

Personality: (Strengths/Weaknesses/Idiosyncrasies)
Byrt is a stoic man. His aim is to bring ruin to the evils of Tyria, while bringing protection and healing to the good and less fortunate. He seldomly lies, but if he does, he always stays within the boundaries of the truth. He can often be seen unknowingly smiling when engaged in battle. He also occasionally struggles to speak, due to having a long vow of silence.

Brief Physical Description: Byrt is a tall muscular man, often described as handsome, despite facial scars giving him an intimidating presence. He is clean shaven, and keeps his hair short.

Brief Background Story: Byrt grew up in an Orphanage in Divinity's Reach. He grew up being protective over a abandoned bullied younger large framed, mentally slow boy named "Dugg". At the age if fifteen, some bullies made a horrid prank that nearly killed Dugg, causing Byrt to snap and beat up the bullies, accidentally killing one and severely wounding the others. As punishment he was forced into community service. For the first few weeks, he was tasked with assisting charities, and 8 hours a day of straight prayer and meditation. Which he continued to do after he was "forgiven". Over time, he grew to be a boy of strong faith. By the age 17 he met and quickly befriended the new comer at the orphanage, Krisella Narave, and was quick to trust her over her wealth of kindness towards his "brother" Dugg. The girl had some magical abilities that creeped out others, but fascinated him. Not long later, Byrt was sad to hear Krisella ran away. Shortly afterword, he began having dreams of two beautiful Winged Women, who began tutoring him how to fight, heal and protect by any means neccesary. Each morning he woke up stronger, quicker, and having a knack for Guardian magic. By the age of 19, Byrt began to train to become Priest of Balthazar, with two permanent vows: The Vow of Cleanliness, and mixed Vow of Poverty/Charity (With the exception and stipulation that he can arm and armor himself, and obviously eat. All profits, were to be benefit others) and one temporary Vow... A three year long Vow of Silence. Through this period, he became a silent Divine Warrior that ungoed several horrible events. He joined a Guild called the Starseekers of Tyria, who battled against a corrupted guild called the "Zodiac" who aimed to aide the spread of the Elder Dragons corruption. The Starseekers lost several battles, and Byrt took several wounds including his facial scars, during battle with the Mesmer, Richard Campbell, Known then as the Coyote "Trickster" Lord of the Zodiac. Campbell turned out to be far more troublesome than Byrt could ever imagine. The man used Illusion magic on both Byrt, and his Brother Dugg, to make them appear as the most threatening enemy to each other as possible. This caused Byrt to unknowingly slay his own friend and brother. Knowing only after the illusion shattered once the deed was done. Though devastated, Byrt never broke his vows, and continued to battle the Zodiac. Never seeing Campbell again. On the last day of his vow of silence he was named a Priest of Balthazar, and was given a magical great sword that helped him feel the presence of Evil. The next day, with the Greatsword he finally brought Ruin to the Zodiac guild. Leaving only Richard Campbell.

Presently, Byrt runs a small foster home for abandoned children who were deemed freaks due to deformities, or abnormal signs of magic (example: difficulty controlling). He focuses his donations on the young of the Foster home giving them the best lives he can. To this day, he still seeks out Richard Campbell, to end the corruption that is the Zodiac.

Name: Alistair Narave

Also Known As: Warden, Commander Alistair Narave, Al, Aurelio Furor

Profession: Druid

Age: known to be about 280 years old by close friends. Seems about 30 to others. His date of birth is unknown

Height: 6'4

Weight:200-230

Personality: Aside from fits of PTSD, he is often seen by strangers as a bit snarky and even rude. By friends, as a calm, sarcastic but caring individual. He is a stickler about Balance within Nature. He will defend allies and friends with his life, and will spare his enemies, unless they are far beyond redeeming. Those beyond redemption, Alistair snaps to a vindictive mentality, "I am the judge, jury and executioner."

Brief Physical Description: He has gray eyes, but wears an eye patch over his right eye, due to damages it has taken in a skirmish in the Magus Falls. Has long brown hair, tied back in a ponytail and a well maintained beard. His skin is tanned as he spends much of his free time in the wild, whether tracking, missions, or meditations. He has a small faded Eagle emblem branded into his inner forearm towards his wrist, above it appears to be faded words cut into his arm reading in Old Krytan "Never forget" he has told no one currently alive what it means. He is solidly built to be agile, and capable of dealing devastating blows. He carries a walking staff, and always keeps a longbow once belonging to his fallen Charr friend, Reena.

Brief Background Story: After his second resurrection, he finally accepted and highly cared for his niece, Krisella, at times being very overprotective over her, much like a father would be to his own child. After the pact was struck down by Mordremoth, Alistair quickly left for the Magus Falls to find survivors and get them to safety. All while desperately searching for his friends, Sydney, Kari, Krisella and Arelia. He fought many battles in the jungle, getting people to safety, and when one battle nearly killed Arelia and prior to taken his eye, fear overtook him, and a deep slumbering power within him had an awakening, granting him the use of the ancient magic of the Druids. He learned quickly over time how to harness the power, but never managed to get to heal his friend, Lady Tanaka, as he came face to face with the man he viewed as the devil himself. Gabriel Narave, his own (once dead) father. Believing his father was present for ill intent, tricked him into leaving and sent Arelia hidden from all with his friend Thomas, to get healed by Valynn Lionhart.

After some time had passed, Valynn and Gigas found Alistair, out of his mind from flashbacks of a previous time a long time ago he had spent in the jungle, as a prisoner of war. They snap him out of it, and assist him with getting a large group of survivors to safety, finally convincing Alistair to return to the guild hall. On his way back, he found Naomi Marietta half dead, accompanied by a rather overprotective Skritt named Rokko. He grabbed them both, and brought Naomi back to health. Due to the limitations brought to him by damages to his eye, he decided to take Naomi on as his student, and proceeds to teach the woman all he knows.

In more recent times, his father proceeds to mess with him, by activating an old powerful resurrection shrine, accompanied by a few stolen artifacts from the Durmand Priory, returned Alistair's fallen wife to the world of the living. A heartbroken Alistair continues his search for Zaryssa. And unsure whether he will hug his father, or kill him.

To be continued.

Name: Naomi Marietta

Also Known As: "Nomi" the queen of the skritt (both refered to as by her Skritt companion Rokko)

Profession: Ranger, Part time shop keeper.

Age: 26

Height: 5 something

Weight: 135

Personality: A bit nervous around people, and left with a degree of social awkwardness

Brief Physical Description: A solidly built yet lithe woman with dirty blonde hair and sky blue eyes.

Brief Background Story:

Naomi's childhood years were harsh and disturbing, as she was stolen from her home as a young girl and forced into banditry to keep her blind father from being murdered. After some years, a cruel man "Richard Campbell" came to power, which then Naomi would be forced to kill her father, and fall under the tutelage of some viciously cruel bandits who aimed to revive Lazarus many years back. While under her tutelage, the cruelty often came out as a form of discipline. Eventually she managed to escape with the help of the Narave pirating family.

She rescued a young small skritt from being killed by mordrem, and she decided to hang onto him affectionately calling him Rokko. After the fall of the pact fleet, Naomi is found half dead by Alistair Narave, who took her in, nursing her back to health and became a strict but fair mentor to Naomi. This helped repair some of the damage done to her in her childhood.

She desperately desires the company of others, but being out of civilization has left her lacking in her social graces and her awkwardness leads to some misunderstandings. Ultimately, though, her inherent good nature wins out, and her stalwart loyalty to her friends makes her a well accepted companion.

NOTE: Bio still under construction

Re: Alistair Narave and Comrades

Post by Fink Dixel on Sat Feb 11, 2017 12:40 pm

Name: Thomas Sanford
Also Known As: Thomas The Traveler, Thom, Seven, Formerly known as Thomas Campbell

Profession: Bard, Mesmer, Ex convict, Guild entertainer, loving father, Ex Lionguard

Age: 23

Height: 5 something

Weight: 165

Personality: A largely happy go lucky fellow, who loathes to kill, often seen tending to the wounds of critically wounded enemies he fought. However, he will kill anyone without hesitation who brings harm to his young daughter, Cara. He likes boxing in his spare time, gloved, or bare knuckled.

Brief Physical Description: A solidly built man with emerald green eyes, brushed back brown hair, he often is seen with 5 o clock shadow, or clean shaven.

Brief Background Story: Thomas is a Noble born who had a love for music at a young age, and his natural gift with magic Mesmer magic, allowed for him to be quite an entertainer. As he grew older he began to travel to Lion's Arch where he joined the Lionguard to help protect the borders from Zhaitan. In his spare time, he would sing and play his lute for the crowds. He made a fair bit of gold doing this. One day, he met a scrawny homeless women, who had watched him perform countless times. He gave his earnings to woman, and they became friends, learning her name was "Krisella Narave". He quickly learned the woman had a heavenly singing voice, so encouraged her to perform with him, and he would show her the ropes to playing a stringed instrument. She quickly picked up the ropes, and soon picked up skill in the harp. Over time, he and Krisella had become lovers, and conceived a child... But in this time, Krisella had disappeared to join the Vigil, mostly as a means to get food. Thomas hadn't learned of his child until he received a bonechilling letter, that informed him that Krisella was indeed due, but was under the command of a man only then Thomas knew was Pure evil. His own Cousin, Richard Campbell. Thomas had retaliated against his cousin, in an attempt to rescue Krisella and his daughter, with the help of Krisella's long lost twin brother, "Quinn." Noble as the attempt was, Quinn was captured, and disappeared for years. And Thomas was shot, and had his memories wiped clean. Of Krisella, and his daughter. And the same had been done for Krisella, Thomas and her own daughter. The memories of the two, wiped out.

As a means to get Thomas out of the picture longer, his cousin had tampered with Thomas's perceptions. One night, Thomas set out with the Lionguard Fleet, to fight off invading Risen. In an attempt to gain the upperhand, Thomas had aimed to take out a further ahead abandoned munitions ship, to wipe out the majority of the attacking risen. To his horror, as his ship fired, it not only destroyed the risen, but had also hit a closer ship, which exploded, wiping out half of the fleet. With the deaths of over 200 lionguard on his hands, Thomas had surrendered himself as a War criminal. Pending execution, a vicious man known as John Mohawke, took Thomas into his own reformatory prison, where Thomas was categorized as "7". 7 being within the top 10 most dangerous of people in prison.

Years later upon his release, John Mohawke, now known as Alistair Narave, a much gentler man, had given Thomas a probationary job as an airship pilot. Thomas accepted, but was forever damaged by the events of the Lionguard and had since changed his name. He changed his surname to Sanford, as he had loved all of his stories about Nicholas Sanford, a traveler, who traveled often helping many, to keep his loves memory alive. Thomas had vowed to become more like his childhood idol, and became known around Tyria as "Thomas The Traveler".

Upon his return to civilization, Thomas had faced many hardships, as he formally apologized to the families of the fallen Lionguard. Many accepted his apology with open arms, while others had accepted but not without assaulting Thomas, many times, leaving him hospitalized.

The time to face his cousin arose again, when Alistair had called upon him to help defeat Richard Campbell, once and for all. Thomas still had no memory of his past with Krisella, but he happily accepted, as he desperately wanted to help end more of the White Mantles schemes. Thomas had begun a mind battle with Richard, where Richard had the upper hand, because he had magic active within Thom anyway. Thomas, was killed in the battle, but before he was revived by his own continuum split. Richards magic had ended within Thom, and thus, Thomas's memories returned. This sparked Thomas on a rampage, diving into the minds of white mantle, and revealing to them something in the form of a phantasm the thing their subconscious feared the most. Things so terrifying to them that they had died from heart attacks. His final confrontation against his cousin was side by side with Valynn Lionhart, Gigas Lionhart, Captain Erin Star, Commander Hawke Phoenix, and an un named uninspiring elementalist. Richard was violently killed, and thus ending all remaining magic Richard had left. After weeks of rehabilitation, Krisella and Thomas had named their reunited long lost Daughter, "Cara Sanford". But unfortunately, Richards damage had been done deeper than magic in Krisella, and so currently Thomas and Krisella are friends, but no longer lovers.
